Do you need information about a medical database, or maybe extra help with a school project?  Overlook Medical Center’s library has all the services and resources you need!  Located on the 5th floor past the main lobby, The Robert H. Mulreany Health Sciences Library is open to the public during the week and 24/7 for employees.  It has the most reliable resources in the hospital, containing approximately 3,000 books and hundreds of newsletters, magazines, videos, and free pamphlets.  There is information on clinical and non-clinical material for everyone in the hospital.

If you are in the hospital, there are various ways to take advantage of the library services.  You can stop by the center and search for the resources you need.  There are four desktop computers with free WiFi, photocopy and fax machines, laser printers, VCRs, and DVD players accessible for public use at available hours.  Another option is to call the library and a staff member can send helpful resources to your location.  The librarians are willing to assist you in anything from a medical database search to collecting information for a school assignment!  Lastly, the library designed an online form where the expert staff members can answer your questions and send back responses immediately.  To access this form, go to https://www.atlantichealth.org/portal/site/internet-forms/CLIP_Form/.

Pat Regenberg, manager of the Overlook library, feels that working at Overlook is a great option for a student.  As a student myself, I could not agree more.  The library has everything you need in one location.  The librarians will assist patients, employees, or the public by compiling all relevant and reliable materials that might be beneficial.  To reach a librarian directly call 908-522-2699.  If you have a long list of “to-dos”, or have five other exams to study for, Overlook Medical Center’s library will prevent errors, frustration and even bad grades!  Few can say they have a health care project completed in an excellent health care environment!
